The Leimert Park Music Series is a monthly live showcase created to amplify the voices of rising Black artists through the power of music, spoken word, and cultural expression. Curated by 247 Live Culture, the series is more than just a concert—it’s a cultural movement that celebrates authenticity, artistry, and the legacy of Black creativity. Each show features a curated lineup of talented Hip-Hop, R&B, and spoken word performers, along with an open mic segment that invites new voices from the community to take the stage.

The event takes place at the legendary World Stage in Leimert Park, California—one of the most historic Black arts districts in Los Angeles. Founded in 1989 by jazz legend Billy Higgins and poet Kamau Daáood, The World Stage has long served as a sanctuary for artistic development and cultural excellence. With its intimate setting and deep-rooted history, it’s the perfect venue to continue the legacy of Black music, from jazz and soul to hip-hop and poetry.

The Leimert Park Music Series is held monthly on Monday nights, with doors opening at 7:30 PM and the show running until 10 PM.
