The Leimert Park Music Series is a cultural movement dedicated to celebrating the artistry, authenticity, and rich legacy of Black music and spoken word. Taking place monthly on Monday nights at the iconic World Stage in Leimert Park, this collaboration with 247 Live Culture offers a platform for rising talent to shine in a space deeply rooted in artistic excellence. The inaugural event kicks off on February 17, from 8 PM to 10 PM, with tickets priced at just $15, available through 247 Live Culture’s website and Eventbrite. The first event features live performances from Shah Infinite, Ventage, and J. Elliott. DJ Candice Manier will create the musical vibe for the night.
An Immersive Experience of Music and Poetry
The Leimert Park Music Series is an event created to elevate and amplify the voices of emerging Black artists while creating an intimate connection between performers and audiences. Each event features 3-4 talented artists, performing up to five songs with a live band, creating an electric atmosphere that merges R&B, jazz, soul, hip-hop, and spoken word into an unforgettable experience.
In addition to featured performances, the open mic segment invites poets and music artists to step onto the stage and share their voices with the community. This opportunity allows new talents to gain exposure, sharpen their craft, and be part of a thriving artistic movement that honors the legacy of Black creativity.
